HIFU COOL Facial Aftercare

Here is your important aftercare information

HIFU COOL is a safe method of facial rejuvenation, minor side effects are usual and most importantly they are a good sign that the treatment has been successful. You may take over the counter paracetamol but not ibuprofen as this will reduce the bodies responses to injury, which is the basis of the treatment.

HIFU COOL fools your body into thinking it needs to heal and make repairs to your collagen and elastin. We call this micro-damage.

You may experience a mild sensation of toothache around the jawbone, if you’ve had treatment in this area. This is normal and will last 1 to 2 days.

You may also experience a sensation of tightening, please apply a liberal amount of moisturising cream to the area day and night, you can even use moisturiser as a face mask 3 times a week to really hydrate and boost rejuvenation.

You may have a pink blush or slight swelling in the area treated, this is perfect and what we want to achieve during treatment, it is a great sign that your treatment has been successful.

Please do not use hot water for 24 hours after

Be gentle, do not rub, scrub or exfoliate for 7 days after

Do not add any additional heat to the area like, sauna or steam rooms.

If any welts appear on the skin, this is also normal although very rare. Apply a small amount of Germolene to the area and never pick, pull or scratch at the welt, if a dry scab appears leave it to fall off on its own, do not pick at it.

HIFU COOL takes time to show the full effects of the treatment, most people see an immediate improvement, with better results showing after 4 weeks, these continue to has visible effects for around 3 months post treatment. Your treatment will still actively be working for around 12 months deep within the skin, forming new collagen and improving elastin. You will see that looking back you may look better now than you did 2 years ago, even if you can’t exactly put your finger on why!

HIFU COOL does not change the way you look, you are still you, but a fresher more rejuvenated and younger looking version.

The more you top up your treated area the better your results will be and so you will be able to put a stop on the hands of time.

You may top up your HIFU COOL after 4 weeks, we recommend a combined Radiofrequency facial or add HIFU Mini to your regular maintenance facial.
